Konstantin Grcic: Chairsman

(jiří macek) Although it may seem absolutely impossible to design a new chair, Konstantin Grcic presented three brand new chairs in Milan this year. Each of them was designed for a different Italian company.

Konstantin Grcic continued developing his legendary Chair One that he designed for Magis in 2004. As he cooperated with other manufacturers, he came up with completely new shapes and processes. His Myto plastic chairs (Plank) and Teepee wooden chairs that were designed for Alias introduced unprecedented shapes and sophisticated technologies into the world of chairs, something that has become typical for Grcic. Who said it was impossible to come up with something new?
