(jiří macek) Although it may sound a bit far-fetched, there are bathrooms in which living would be great – especially in the summer heat in the city. An example speaking for all: AQHayon.
The bathroom designed by Jamie Hayon for a special edition of the Spanish manufacturer ArtQuitect is a bathroom like no other. Because it is full of surprising elements, it would be wonderful to work here, have breakfast or lunch, welcome guests, and sleep. The bath has an incorprated vase and bowl for fruit or cheese in case one would like to have a snack or champagne. In addition, an incorporated flowerpot can decorate the bath as well. The mirror that hangs above the light-legged basin dreams about meadows in its contours. The lamp on the basin is reminiscent of a bed-table intimacy.
The set of accessories is also brilliant. There is a chest of drawers that looks as if it had been taken from Doc Růžička\'s surgery and a suspension vase in the form of a horse head. But instead of its mane, gerbera flowers look best.
The AQHayon bathroom looks like it has appeared out of a fairy-tale. As such, it has one bad feature – when you plunge into it, you immediately fall in love. But is this really all that bad?
It is as if Jamie Hayon had introduced a whole new world into the world of bathrooms. The bathroom has won many awards since its first presentation in Barcelona in February 2005. It is also included in the collections of the Design Museum in London, which exhibited it in a special glass box in front of the muesum during its premiere. The star of Jamie Hayon started to rise abruptly at that time. And it keeps rising…
