(jiří macek) Bára Prášilová made a motionless, yet fascinating series of photos for the last issue of Lime, the skateboarding magazine. In this series, riding has the form of meditation and vice versa.
This was not the first time #www.baraprasilova.com# Bára Prášilová# has entered the world of skateboarding. The roller skates lying in her wardrobe are proof of that. However, she took a more significant step in s #www.limemagazine.cz#Limé magazine# for which she has already made a winter series. She also stopped action on it and started a vain game with details, stepping a little bit beyond real possibilities. However, she let the action get off the ground even more below the summer sun in a discreet and disguised way, as if the skateboards and circles had a life of their own. Thus, she brought an unexpected restlessness into the wild world of adrenalin rush experiences.
“We always plan and consult the final version of the fashion section with Bára a long time in advance. It is not always easy to see the slightly ‘uniform’ sportswear from a different perspective,” says Barbora Berdychová from her article in Lime. “Bára Prášilová is very demanding. She needs many props that she does not hesitate to make at night - for example, the shirt from the cover of issue No. 3 or the huge red and white life preserver. I hope it is the number of details and a lot of enthusiasm that make the fashion story in Lime interesting.”
Lime magazine comes out as an insert to Free magazine, a publication that is not for individual sale. Its target group is girls who like board sports and a distinctive culture that draws upon these sports.
“In general, we try to inspire girls as far as sports and creativity is concerned,” says Berdychová. Lime magazine proves that we are succeeding. After all, Free magazine serves as a very good example of how to make a stylish and interesting magazine for skateboarders. Thanks to its style, stories, design (Michal Škapa), and photos, it outshines all its Czech competition.”
