(jiří macek) Young Swedish designer Martin Vallin has designed a chair as a very private spot for the Italian brand of Cappellini. Thus, he has introduced the Baltic breeze into the hot Italian summer.
These beach booths represent a necessity on the Baltic coast if one wants to read for a while. Otherwise, the constant wind in one’s hair is absolutely amazing. Young Swedish designer Martin Vallin, who is a novice in the catalogue of the renowned Italian brand of Cappellini, assembled the Secret Clubhouse from simple pieces of wood. Thus, one could easily talk about the remains of old ships washed ashore. However, that would be pure fiction. Anyway, to have a chair in the form of one’s own house is great not only on a beach, but also in a club or a hotel lobby. Reminiscent of some of the works by the Belgian chaos organizer Arne Quinze, the composition enables us to have an intimate space without losing touch with our surroundings. Moreover, it is a magnificent sculpture that can endow any space with clear character. It is always great to return to the seaside through its help.
