(jiří macek) Lucie Koldová, who won the Discovery of the Year – Česká spořitelna Award at the Czech Grand Design 2009 Awards a month ago, presents the follow-up of the award-winning Home Fitness collection as part of Elle Decor International Talents exhibition at the Design Week in Milan. This time, one will exercise with a wardrobe and a stool.
The wooden Fit Cupboard wardrobe system is formally derived from traditional wall bars, which seem to be Koldová’s favorite gym tool. Whereas they constituted a part of a wardrobe in the first Home Fitness range, this time they are adjusted to hold coats and shirts. The other new piece – the simple upholstered Stool Trainer – can easily turn into a mat for stretching and exercising. If one neglects practical instructions, he/she will be looking at pure simple furniture pieces with a French charm. The impact of the designer’s stay in the Paris-based studio of Arik Levy shows the first results.
