Jana Kuťková: Draw Back the Shutters and Look Back

(jana zielinski) Jana Kuťáková, a fourth-year student at the AAAD in Prague from the Studio of Fashion Art led by Josef Ťapťuch, looked back to the 1920s in her collection that was presented as a part of this year’s final works. She displayed a pink pastel color, pleasant elegance, luxurious ribbons, and shutters. The exhibit was both drawn back and drawn up.

Gorgeous models that look very simple at first sight concealed a delicate beauty of perfect craftsmanship and an excellent idea. This was not a mere concept of applying the shutter principle on clothes. When looking at the presentation, a person really felt like putting on one of the shutter-like skirts tied with ribbons to grab a cup of Viennese coffee in one of Prague’s cafes. Jana Kuťáková prepared an extraordinary experience for visitors this year. There is no nostalgia for better times. We can start looking forward to the future designs from this young fashion designer.
